I spent much of my adult life sexually unfulfilled.
Sometimes I was single. Other times I was in partnership.
20 years ago, I was in a committed relationship living with a man. He only initiated s.e.x once per week on Saturday mornings, so I figured that’s all he wanted. I didn’t dare tell him that I wanted s.e.x more frequently. I am a woman. According to society, I am not supposed to want a lot of s.e.x.
I suffered silently.
I hid my sexual desires from him, because I felt embarrassed and ashamed. Plus, I didn’t want to hurt his feelings or insult his manhood. He was stressed and tired from working long hours. I understood. I was overworked and exhausted too.
But I had a high s.e.x drive. I wanted s.e.x more often and a deeper heart connection with him.
I was starting to open up spiritually, and I wished he shared my spiritual beliefs.
I felt like something was wrong with me for wanting more.
Couldn’t I just be happy?
I didn’t know that my desire for more s.e.x. was a calling from my soul.
I was sexually unfulfilled. But I didn’t think that mattered. Like many people in our sexually repressed culture, I thought I should put s.e.x on the backburner.
Well, actually, I thought I should put ALL of my needs on the backburner. I thought my #1 job was to be there for others – my clients, coworkers, family, friends, and partner.
I did not realize that what was happening (or rather, not happening) in the bedroom was impacting my entire life.
I felt unfulfilled in my career as a social worker. I wasn’t making much money, so I couldn’t travel as much as I wanted to. I struggled with depression, self-doubt, body image issues, and an eating disorder. I smiled on the outside, but deep down I wasn’t truly happy.
I did not know that my sexual energy impacted my happiness, health, confidence, life purpose, and money flow.
Some call it life force. Others call it kundalini. I call it “sexual fire.”
Our sexual fire is our soul essence flowing through our physical body. It creates our inner glow and a feeling of happiness, health, and ALIVENESS.
Our sexual fire is what we use to CREATE with, whether creating babies, a thriving business, opportunities to help others and make a difference, money, a loving relationship, or anything else.
Unfortunately, that relationship fell apart in a tragic, hurtful, heart-wrenching way, because I had not yet embraced myself, my highly sexual nature, my heart’s desires, and my sexual needs.
Through my sexual and spiritual awakening over the last 20 years, I’ve learned that…
It’s OK to want MORE.

- More connection
- More joy
- More orgasms
- More kisses
- More pleasure
- More touch
- More money
- More people to help
- More opportunities to fulfill your purpose
- Or whatever your craving for “more” is
Your sexual needs matter.
Notice I said “need,” not “desire” or “want.” S.e.x is just as important to our well-being as eating, breathing, drinking, or sleeping.
No, we won’t die if we don’t have s.e.x, but we will certainly not thrive. Not expressing our sexual energy means not expressing the light of our soul.
When our light is restricted, it causes all kinds of problems. Repressing that energy means repressing our soul, our love, our gifts and talents, our greatness, beauty, brilliance, ideas, creativity, spark of joy, and our unique spark of the Divine.
You MUST be sexually fulfilled in order to feel happy, healthy, abundant, and fulfilled in your business/career, love life, s.e.x life, and money. Your sexual fire helps you to feel passionately on fire for fulfilling your purpose.
We can’t ignore our sexual fire. It has important things to say.
